[ Mental Health ] Open Question : How to be independent of electronics?
I'm addicted....like really bad. My life revolves around electronics. This summer I don't want to use ANY electronics unless absolutely necessary. I plan to only go on Facebook once a week or less.
Most of it is an easy fix; i.e: instead of running on treadmill, run outside; instead of waking up to an alarm clock, wake up naturally; instead of writing my stories on the computer (typing into word documents) write by hand on papaer, etc.
But I just need some tips. What are some other things I could cut out of my daily routine and what could I use to substitute for them? And do you have any ideas for what to do for "recreational purposes" besides watching tv, playing on the computer, xBox, ipods, etc?
Any help is really appreciated. I feel like my life has been taken over by media and electronics and such. help me :(
I REALLY love photography and music, so I was thinking I could take up painting and maybe practice playing guitar? (I learned some guitar a while back, so maybe I could pick it up again? Is that a good idea or is that considered an electronic?)
