[ Other - Diseases ] Open Question : what is that disease?
I have been suffering for the past 6 years, but the doctor I have seen haven?t being able to give a diagnostic despite all the exams I did . Please if you know what it can be , let me know .
I started feeling pain in the muscles of my lower body: my glutes, quadriceps, biceps femoris, rectus femoris and soleus just to name a few. My physician conducted a thorough physical exam, blood work, CAT scan, and x-rays and prescribed treatment. The condition did not change so he sent me to a neurologist. The neurologist could not find the main problem but prescribed many medications including pain killers. After 3 years I developed a new symptom; my hands and legs started shaking and the medication I was prescribed did not improve my health
I was referred to an internist in Baltimore, Maryland. He prescribed a variety of blood work, a biopsy (from my thigh) too, and sent me to another neurologist. The doctor also prescribed the Parkinson disease test and the results came back as negative.
For the past 6 years I have been taking Amitriptyline for pain relief and I am still feeling the pain. When I walk up stairs, by the time I get to the 5th flight of stairs my glutes, quadriceps and back muscles hurt badly and these muscles get stiff. It feels like they are about to explode. The same thing happens after 5 min on the treadmill. Also when I sit on a lower chair I have a hard time standing up without support. And even with the support, I struggle to straighten up. It is the same scenario with low cars. When I lay straight in bed I do not feel the pain but I find it hard and strain to sit up and get out of bed
