Beth Riesgraf on Writing & Directing Her First Short Film & How It?s Easier Than Ever To Get Noticed Now
Beth Riesgraf came out to the College Television Awards where she caught up with StarCam?s Jennifer Tapiero on the red carpet. She took a moment to chat about how exciting the event was, her first short film and how technology has made it easier than ever for people to get their work out there!
?I feel great and I think this is so inspiring and exciting for young artists. If it were me I?d be so thrilled to be here,? she said. ??I never had an opportunity like this but if I had I think I would have been jumping out of my skin because it?s such a great jumpstart for them and for them to get their work out, get it seen? It?s a competitive industry but I think this is sort of setting them out.?
Beth went on to say that she thinks technology like YouTube makes it much easier for people to get their work out there for the world to see. She went to Los Angeles with hopes of becoming a photographer and picked up modeling as a way to expand her knowledge in the field. Quickly that turned into acting as well.
?I just recently wrote and directed my first short film?but I just learned along the way that that more people you meet, the more you learn and every experience really does help,? said Beth. ?I think this town is a lot smaller than you realize, so make friends.?
