ABC may have cancelled All My Children and One Life to Live, but the iconic soaps will continue in the form of a web series the network announced on Thursday.
“All My Children and One Life to Live are iconic pieces of television history that captivated millions of fans since their beginning over 40 years ago,” Brian Frons, president of daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group, said in Thursday’s announcement. “Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history and informed our consciousness in their own way. We are so glad [production company] Prospect Park has assumed the mantle for these shows and that they will continue for the fans.”
The shows’ original cast and crew will move to the Web after the soaps’ final broadcasts in September (All My Children) and January (One Life to Live).
ABC said it decided to cancel the soaps after conducting exhaustive research about what daytime television viewers want. Apparently, viewers want more talk shows because both soaps will be replaced by what The Washington Post calls View-esque programs, one about food, the other about losing weight.
Agnes Nixon, the creator of both All My Children and One Life to Live, responded to the news by saying she is “so happy for our loyal fans, whom we love so much, and who have been so supportive over the last 40 plus years.”

Former Girl Next Door Holly Madison recently stripped down for Star magazine and revealed all of her bikini secrets, and RadarOnline.com has the interview and exclusive photos from her revealing shoot.
When Holly moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, she was riding high on her bangin? post-Dancing with the Stars body. But her favorite eats ? Italian food and gourmet candy ? quickly caught up with her, despite long rehearsals for her Peepshow revue, and she gained some weight back. Now 10 lbs lighter though, Holly shared her weigh-loss journey with Star.

Star: How did you lose weight?
Holly: Recently, I?ve really gotten my eating habits back on track.

Star: What?s your daily eating plan?
Holly: A protein bar for breakfast, fruit as a snack and a healthy chicken salad for lunch. Then I will get a grilled chicken breast for dinner, with avocado and vegetables on the side. I love adding BBQ sauce too.
Star: Do you have any vices?
Holly: I love chicken fingers, I love french fries. I love desserts. I?m not just into dessert of just into savory food. I love it all. I?m a pig. I love food. So it takes a lot of discipline to eat healthy.

Star: What do you do to stay in shape?
Holly: I have a treadmill in my house, which is great because even if I jump on it for a little bit, it makes me feel better. I love yoga and Pilates too. I have a private Pilates instructor I go to once a week.

Star: Do you have a quick beauty fix you can do as you slip into your bikini?
Holly: Using bronzer, giving yourself a bit of color is so amazing. It helps to camouflage flaws. Also, a good [beach] cover-up is important. You need to put something on.
Star: Is there anything you would change about your body?
Holly: If I could have a Barbie body, which has no cellulite, I totally would. I would like to have a flatter stomach, but that won?t happen either. That is never going to happen. No matter how much weight I lose, my stomach, below the belly button, always pooches out.
