Extreme Music has signed with producers Timbaland and Mike “Daddy” Evans to co-executive produce a series of Urban Pop songs with a lineup of new talent from Timbaland Productions.
“I’m looking forward to unleashing the Timbaland Productions crew on this exciting new project,” Timbaland said. “The songs we’re producing for Extreme are gonna blow people’s minds.”
Timbaland and Evans will produce 75 new tracks over the next year for the hottest up-and-coming talent from Timbaland Productions. The first of the releases will be delivered during summertime.
Russell Emanuel, CEO and President of Extreme Music, said, “Extreme is renowned for playing boundary bustin’ trump cards and this is no exception. Our urban music offering is already second to none with Snoop, Quincy, and Rodney Jerkins – adding these guys means we now have all the bases loaded.”
Evans added, “I’m always looking for new ways to break boundaries and stay on top of changes in the industry, both creatively and from a business perspective. This partnership with Extreme gives us a great new avenue to introduce the up-and-coming, innovative talent we’re nurturing here at Timbaland Productions.”
Timbaland has been producing and performing since the mid-1990s, creating career-defining hits for artists like Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Jay-Z and many more. Perhaps his most well-known collaboration is 2007’s “SexyBack,” which he performed with Justin Timberlake.
Evans has worked with LL Cool J, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Miley Cyrus, just to name a few.
