Peter Jackson Posts Behind-the-Scenes Video for ?The Hobbit?

Peter Jackson’s much-delayed two-part adaptation of The Hobbit is finally filming, and the Lord of the Rings mastermind posted a video of the pre-production process and the films’ first days in front of the camera to prove it.

Over the past several years, production on the big-budget film duo was delayed due to disputes over distribution rights, financial troubles at MGM, the departure of the films’ initial director (Guillermo del Toro), a labor dispute in New Zealand, and Jackson’s decision to direct the film, but the process is finally underway.

Many of the Lord of the Rings cast members are returning to Jackson’s adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel. The scripts for the films are being kept so secret that Cate Blanchett, who’s Rings character Galadriel is in the film, says she hasn’t even seen them yet and doesn’t know when her part will start filming.

“I haven’t seen a script [for The Hobbit] yet, so I don’t know what I’ll be doing,” she said.

[ Family ] Open Question : How can I fix my relationship with my brother?

I came out of the closet to my family a few months ago and told them that I was bisexual. They were accepting of me except for my little brother who's 16. He's always looked up to me as a role model and we have a great relationship, but he sees me as being weird now because of my orientation. I've explained to him that it's biological and whenever my boyfriend and I are in the room, he ALWAYS leaves. One time, when my bf was over for dinner, my brother actually asked my parents why they would let him come over. Honestly, I'm not mad at him because I know it's difficult for him to understand two guys in love with each other. How do I fix my relationship with him?

Hot Slut Of The Day!

Taco Bell's Doritos Taco Shell! Taco Bell is continuing to honor the oath they made before the bong gods many decades ago by creating crunchy drops of deliciousness that only a stoner could fall in love with. Just look at that beautiful thing. If you're a commitment phobe who has never been able to spit out the words "I love you," just suck on a joint until your brain feels like it's made of clouds and then stare at this picture again. Those three words will trickle out before you even have a chance to second guess it.

If you don't live in Toledo, Ohio (or near the other handful of locations where this deliciousness is being tested), you'll have to suffer through a long-distance relationship with the Doritos Taco Shell. You can make it work!

Taco Bell really knows how to come back hard after being accused of filling their shells with chihuahua meat (why did I type that?). Now you won't even care that you're probably digesting ground rat bowels, because the delicious Doritos taste will mask that thought. Taco Bell really needs to release Pintos 'N Cheetos and Funyun Quesadillas, so we can have a real party.

Gwyneth Paltrow Releases New Cookbook

You might not know it by looking at her, but actress/singer/lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow is a big fan of food. On Wednesday, the 38-year-old Academy Award-winning actress released a new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter (Grand Central Life & Style, $30), and celebrated the event with a star-studded dinner party attended by such celebrities as Jay-Z, Jerry Seinfeld, and Cameron Diaz.

"I am just exploding with joy for her because this is something that gives her tremendous satisfaction," Gwyneth’s mother, actress Blythe Tanner, told The Associated Press.

My Father’s Daughter was inspired by Gwyneth’s late father Bruce Paltrow and includes a variety of “delicious, easy recipes” covering everything from soups, salads, main dishes, and more. Paltrow says it was her father who taught her how to cook and instilled in her a love of preparing food. Many of the recipes in the book are family recipes Bruce shared with his daughter.

When asked about the fondest memories of cooking with her father, Gwyneth replied:

“Sort of just the togetherness of being next to him. We didn't talk a lot when we were cooking. We were very concentrated. It was that proximity. Sometimes he would make a joke or just throw out some hilarious criticism but in a sweet way. It was just being next to each other.”

Bruce Paltrow passed away from cancer in 2002. Not only did the producer teach his daughter how to cook, but he also emphasized the importance of eating together as a family.

“I think the importance of eating together as a family and making homemade food that is nourishing and good for you,” Paltrow said. “It is such a nice time because my dad used to really talk to us when we ate dinner and see what we thought about things and now I use that opportunity to do the same thing with my kids as well.”

My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness features 150 recipes as well as anecdotes, full-color photographs, and tips for getting the entire family involved with cooking.
