Kate Moss Makes Friends With Kanye West and Hits a Dinner Party Bearing Gifts

Kate Moss threw on a black hat to shop around London with her assistant, Fiona, yesterday afternoon, but by the evening she slipped into her latest floor-length dinner look to join pals, like Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, for a '70s-themed dinner at a friend's house. The supermodel didn't arrive empty-handed, though, since she showed up holding a box of After-Eight mints. She switched fur jackets and headed out this morning in her favorite colorful number to do a yoga class with Fiona before meeting up with her hairstylist buddy James Brown for a Japanese lunch. Kate, whose new commercial for Dior lipsticks is out, is home in England after her recent adventures at Paris Fashion Week. Her fiancé, Jamie Hince, didn't join her as he was off to NYC for a show with The Kills, but Kate's struck about a relationship with another musician in the meantime - she and Kanye West apparently crossed paths in France and he invited her to join him in Texas at SXSW.

[ Dogs ] Open Question : Am I giving my puppy solid food too fast?

My puppy is about two months old and she has been eating canned food so far. It's time that I start feeding her the solid food. I started giving it to her yesterday. I've heard that the transition from old to new food should last about five days. The thing is, I have enough canned food just for today, and I don't want to buy a new can (the food we are feeding her is very expensive) unless I have to. Is it too quick to start giving her the solid food in two days? I usually give it to her in a soup, mixed with chicken and vegetables, so it's not only solid food. Her stool is good and she eats the solid food with appetite. So, do I have to buy another can so the transition would last longer?

Charlie Sheen Weekend Round-Up

A lot has gone on in Charlie Sheen’s world over the weekend.

First off, three of his children had birthday parties, which he missed.

His twin sons, Bob and Max, had a birthday bash thrown by estranged wife Brooke Mueller and co-hosted by Kathy Hilton (Paris Hilton’s mom). The party boasted a bounce house and lots of balloons.
Mueller was having a nice time with the focus on her children rather than the drama surrounding Sheen’s life.

Sheen’s daughter with ex-wife Denise Richards also had a birthday party this weekend. She turned seven last week and had a gymnastics party.

Charlie did not attend either gathering.

Meanwhile, tickets for two Charlie Sheen LIVE: The Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option shows sold out within 18 minutes. One dollar from every ticket sold went to the Red Cross the help the tsunami victims in Japan.

The shows are set for Detroit on April 2 and Chicago on April 3. More performances and location are likely to be announced this week.

It seems that scalpers helped in the sellout, as Stubhub listed 1,412 seats available for the Detroit venue, and more were up on Craigslist. The number suggests that more than a quarter of the tickets sold went to scalpers. Nearly the same holds true for Chicago, as 1,243 tickets are available at Stubhub, nearly a third of the venue’s capacity.

Besides selling tickets, Sheen is also selling merchandise.

He began selling official t-shirts from his website, CharlieSheen.com, which was launched Friday. Shirts feature phrases such as “Duh, Winning,” “I’m an FA-18 Bro,” and “You’re Either in Sheen’s Korner or You’re With the Trolls.” You can get your own memento of the craziness for just $19.95.

Finally, Alec Baldwin wrote a blog article for the Huffington Post explaining why Sheen will lose his lawsuit and career. He also told Sheen to beg for his job back.

“You can’t win. Really. You can’t. When executives at studios and networks move up to the highest ranks, they are given a book… ‘How to Handle Actors.’ And one principle held dear in that book is that no actor is greater than the show itself when the show is a hit. You know what you should do? Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck. Go on Letterman and make an apology. Write a huge check to the B’Nai Brith. And then beg for your job back.”

Baldwin continues to advise Sheen to “sober up.” If he wants to really make CBS and all the execs angry, he will ask America for forgiveness, which will essentially make CBS and Warner Bros. take him back.

His final piece of advice for Sheen: “P.S… Buy Cryer a really nice car.”

Well of course Charlie did not take too kindly to that.

“Charlie believes no one is smarter than he is,” says a friend. “He doesn’t ask or take advice from anyone. If he has a problem then he will solve it himself. He’s certainly not going to take any advice from Alec. As far as Charlie is concerned, Alec should shut up, sit down, and keep eating.”

The Daily WTF: Coughin' Coffin Tissue Box

I'm a chronic hypochondriac, meaning that every sharp pain, headache or sniffle I experience is a sign that I'll be dead by morning. What helps me get through life with this nagging sense of panicked mortality hanging over my head is taking deep breaths and banning myself from WebMD. What absolutely does not help is investing in a tissue box shaped like a coffin. That ghosty may be cute, but he's most definitely not for me. ... More »

Vanessa Hudgens: Shape April 2011 Cover Girl

Landing a spot on the cover of their latest issue, Vanessa Hudgens adorns the front page of the April 2011 edition of Shape magazine.

Proudly showing off her fit and fine figure while flashing her abs, the "Sucker Punch" starlet chatted with Shape about topics including kick-boxing, fashion aspirations and moving on from fast food.

Highlights from Miss Hudgens' interview with Shape are as follows:

On kick-boxing with her mom, Gina: ?Having someone to go to classes with makes you want to do your best, not just for yourself but for the other person too. My mom and I do cardio kickboxing classes together. I love wearing my baseball hat, tilting my head down and pretending I?m taking people out. It?s very therapeutic.?

On dreaming up her own fashion line: ?Right now I?m pulling pictures from the Sixties and Seventies studying women like Cher and Bianca Jagger for inspiration. My style is boho chic. I love that time period - the patterns, the prints, the people, the music, the vibe. I figure if you love something so much, you should at least give it a try. And you may end up making a living from it too!?

On her fast-food days gone by: ?I was so unhealthy. I used to go to Cold Stone Creamery, get a tub of Butterfinger ice cream and eat it all before bedtime and my fingers were permanently stained orange from Cheetos.?

[ Earth Sciences & Geology ] Open Question : When an earthquake makes the day shorter, do we ever get the old length back?

It's well-documented that earthquakes make the day shorter, really by less than a second. But like pennies, it eventually all adds up, doesn't it? An earthquake in Indonesia last decade did so, last year's Chilean one did so and now the Japanese one has followed in their footsteps. Apparently, they move the planet a little. The day feels too short as it is. The idea of the day getting any shorter is extremely annoying to me. I believe in more time for more productivity, not a shorter day. Does the length of the Earth's days ever return to normal(the pre-earthquake length)?

David and Victoria Beckham: It?s a Girl!

After having three sons together, Victoria and David Beckham are pleased to announce that their fourth child will be a girl.

“Obviously, we’re very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I’m going to say it: It’s a little girl,” David said at an L.A. Galaxy fan luncheon.

“Were still in shock,” he added. “Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon. Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.”

The Beckhams announced in January that they were expecting a fourth child. The baby girl is due in July, and will join three big brothers – ages 11,8, and 5.

“Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz are very excited about the arrival,” the couple’s rep said when the pregnancy was announced.

Former Spice Girl Victoria was interviewed by People magazine in February, and at the time, said she didn’t yet know the sex of the child but would be happy either way. “We know what to do with boys. But, if it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”

And it seems David has wanted a daughter for quite some time, telling the British press in 2009, “I really want more kids and I hope it happens soon. I want a little girl. That would be amazing.”
