Lindsay Lohan as a Child in this Retro Video

It’s seems like forever since Lindsay Lohan was a child, but you can’t possibly forget how adorable she was. I came across this video of Lohan during the time she was filming The Parent Trap back in 1997-98 and I had to share.
Redheaded and freckled, Lindsay was peppy, optimistic, precious. It was her ...

Mad Men: Not As Far Off As We Thought

After Season 5's extremely delayed start, we got used to the idea of never knowing when we'd see Mad Men on TV. Now, though, we can stop flipping pages on our calendars and guessing, because a premiere date has finally been announced. April 7th is the day to remember.

Season 6 will premiere with a two-hour first episode directed by executive producer Scott Hornbacher and written by Matthew Weiner, the show's creator. He said of the upcoming premiere, "If you like the show, there's a good chance you'll like the premiere. It is different than last year's in a sense that it was my idea and I was just trying to give bang for a buck to an audience that I didn't want to lose because we'd been away so long. This year it's really constructed like a film. It is its own story and hopefully it foreshadows the rest of the season."

Weiner mentions it's important to catch up if you haven't, since all of season six is "in reference to last season."

The newest season will be 13 episodes (technically the premiere counts as two), and Weiner says his thinking changed when he realized the show would be coming to an end in a couple of years.
"I was really starting to think in terms of the last 26 episodes together," he said. "We've been taking advantage of the 26 episodes we have left to do all the things that we've wanted to do, and so far I think that the audience is in for quite a ride."

We can't wait to find out what happens with Don and Megan, Joan and her dirtbag husband Greg (when we last saw Joan, she was being served divorce papers), and Peggy and Abe. Will you be watching?

Showtime Renews "Shameless," "House of Lies," and "Californication"

Showtime's hit show are, ahem, showing no signs of slowing down, and the network has taken notice of three series' popularity. Their Sunday night lineup of Shameless, House of Lies, and Californication welcomed record-setting premieres earlier this month, and in response, the network has renewed all three shows.

David Nevins, Showtime's entertainment chief said in a statement today, "Californication, House of Lies, and Shameless possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season, the pick-up decision was easy. I am incredibly excited to see what each of these series has in store for their next seasons."

Production for all three shows will start later on this year, and as you may have been able to predict, the following seasons will debut in 2014. All three series are set in Los Angeles.

Shameless, which is produced by John Wells, is up 22 percent in its third season, and attracts an average of 5.4 million viewers per episode. House of Lies pulls in 3.2 million, and Californication, which is in its sixth season, averages 3.1 million viewers a week.

Showtime has been on the up and up in the past several years, and their most talked-about show, Homeland, has been collecting awards this year. Two new dramas will debut later this year—Liev Schreiber's Ray Donovan will run alongside Dexter in June, and Lizzy Caplan's Masters of Sex will run alongside Homeland in September.

Jimmy Kimmel Receives Hollywood Star

Comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is now the proud owner of a Hollywood Star! Kimmel, 45, gathered today with family and friends for the star’s afternoon unveiling ceremony.

“I’m getting emotional. This is embarrassing,” Kimmel said while thanking the people who supported him throughout the years. “People are going to pee on this star.”

Kimmel’s star, the 2,489th plaque to appear on the Walk of Fame, is now installed at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the El Capitan Entertainment Centre. El Capitan is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, now celebrating its tenth year on ABC. Carson Daly, a former intern of Jimmy’s, spoke at the ceremony, as did L.A. politician Eric Garcetti.

“We are proud to include Jimmy Kimmel on our Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a statement. “Jimmy always makes us laugh, and he has done so much for the Hollywood community. He was bound to end up on Hollywood Boulevard!”

Kimmel made headlines today for his faux feud with Matt Damon. Last night, Damon “kidnapped” Kimmel and took over his late night show, interviewing a slew of big-name guests as a bound Jimmy looked on. Damon even chatted with Kimmel’s ex, Sarah Silverman.

Congratulations, Jimmy!

10 Things You Didn?t Know About the PGA Awards

The Producers Guild of America began issuing awards to producers of extraordinary motion pictures and television shows over 20 years ago. The PGA Awards, which will be presented on Saturday night, are considered one of the events that predict who will walk home a winner at the Academy Awards. A few facts you might not have known about this award:

  1. The Producers Guild of America is the merging of two professional guilds: the Screen Producers Guild, formed in 1950, and the Television Producers Guild, formed in 1957. In 1962, the two organizations joined.
  2. The first awards were given by the PGA in 1990 and called the Golden Laurel Awards.
  3. The first recipients were Lili Fini and Richard D. Zanuck for their work on Driving Miss Daisy
  4. Fourteen of the 22 PGA winning films have gone on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
  5. In fact, the PGA has predicted the Best Picture award at the Oscars for the past 5 years running.
  6. However, this year, if either Skyfall or Moonrise Kingdom wins a PGA, they are guaranteed not to predict the Oscar winner. Neither film was nominated for an Academy Award.
  7. The PGAs’ outstanding picture award is formally known as The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. Zanuck was a Hollywood producer whose career was among the longest in the motion picture industry.
  8. Have you noticed a lowercase “p.g.a.” after the names of producers in the credits of films you’ve recently seen? That’s the PGA’s new Producer’s Mark, which signifies that the person in question did the work required to legitimately be considered a producer of a film.
  9. The Producers Guild has over 4700 members. Membership perks include tickets to Oscar-nominated films, health insurance and pension plans.
  10. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to JJ Abrams, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
