Those of us who are on the edge of our seats waiting for the Arrested Development return won't have to wait too much longer, according to Netflix. The company confirmed that the fourth season of the show will premiere sometime in May. Rejoice!
Netflix's content chief, Ted Sarandos confirmed the news today, but we'll still have to wait a little longer to find out the exact date. Still, it's a huge improvement from not knowing anything, right? Right.
There will be fourteen episodes of the upcoming season, and all will be released at the same time—anyone in for a Sunday Bluth Marathon? Us too. We love the idea of not having to wait a week between episodes, but we also fear that we'll burn through the new content in a single day. Still—everyone knows Arrested Development episodes are best when watched the second or third time.
News broke recently, however, that the new season of AD won't feature every cast member in every episode. The fourth season focuses on each character from the end of season three up until present day, which will then lead into the movie. The show's creator, Mitch Hurwitz, said that each episode will focus on a specific character, and since each episode will only concern itself with one character, "you don't see them all together until you see the movie," he said. Sigh. The movie is meant to be a "second act" to the fourth season.
While there's no trailer for the new season yet, Netflix did announce that Eli Roth's new horror series, Hemlock Grove, will premiere on April 19th, and they released a trailer for that show.

This Friday, viewers will take a historical ride through the early days of Hollywood and experience the rise of the paparazzi. $ellebrity explores how fame has changed from the highly-structured studio system to the current free-for-all press and paparazzi frenzy.
Jennifer Aniston, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kid Rock among others appear in the debut documentary from seasoned celebrity photographer and WireImage co-founder Kevin Mazur.
"I wanted to make this film because we wanted to create a roundtable discussion about the business that would start a conversation about our culture's obsession with celebrity," Kevin told LA Weekly. "And I wanted to give our audience a behind-the-scenes look at celebrity gossip, tabloids and fame."
The film also explains how the rise of technology, specifically social media, has changed the landscape of fame.
"Back in the day, publicists really controlled what was going on with the images of celebrities. Now, publicists have a really hard time because it's hard for them to control their celebrities," Kevin said. "They Tweet stuff, they call the paparazzi. It's so out of control. Right now, it's like the wild, wild West out there because of the Internet, blogs, cell phones and Twitter."
Just last week a paparazzo was killed chasing Justin Bieber's Ferrari, which prompted Justin's plea for legislation to help protect not only the celebrities but the photographers as well.
"But it's really hard to pass laws against this because you're treading on the First Amendment, which also protects celebrities who go on stage and perform and do what they want and the press that go and cover that event. It's a really tricky area right now," said Kevin.
$ellebrity will be shown in select theaters beginning this Friday in California, Arizona, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, and Washington. Visit the website for dates, times and locations.
