Yay!! HBO is reportedly developing a feature-length film based on the hit series Bored to Death, which as we all know was canceled far too prematurely. Jonathan Ames is, expectedly, writing the film.
The film would continue the adventures of amateur private eye Jonatham Ames (played by Jason Schwartzman) that were cut short after three seasons on the network. Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson also starred in the show, as Schwarzman's sort-of sidekick/best friend Ray and his stoner editor George, respectively.
The film's tagline reads, "Jonathan, Ray, and George reunite to fight crime, commit crime, lose their minds, and fail at love in a Bored to Death feature-length slapstick adventure."
Ames will executive produce the film alongside Sarah Condon and Stephanie Davis, who also worked on the TV show.
Danson first dropped hints about the potential of the movie last year, when he mentioned it at GQ's Gentleman's Ball in October. He said at the time that in the movie, Jonathan would become a police officer while Ray and George would become roommates.
Ames and Schwarzman are also working on another writing project together, but as for Schwarzman's character's signature trench coat, he said, "I hope it still fits."
Bored to Death was canceled during its third season after ratings took a hit—its second season brought in about a million viewers for each episode, while the third season's episodes only pulled in about a quarter of that, though some people say it was because the show made the switch from Sunday nights to Monday nights.
No word yet on when we can expect this movie, but we'll be waiting here (im)patiently for it.

The awards ceremony isn’t the only thing going on at the annual Golden Globes celebration. Before the stars recognize one another’s achievements, they hit the gifting suites, where they get a first-chance look at fabulous clothes, cosmetics and jewelry, all while benefiting a few good causes.
On the 11th, the stars and vendors turned out to show their support for To Write Love on Her Arms at Secret Room’s Golden Globe’s Style Lounge. There were some really fab vendors showing off their goods!
France Luxe was there with stylish accessories for your hair. Eternna Bella brought their best skin-rejuvenating cosmetics. Canadian company SkinFix was showing off their all-natural line of skincare products based on recipes that have been passed down through their family; they even have nourishing skin treatments for the family dog!
Mamalicious was there with a yummy nutritional supplement for mamas who are expecting or breastfeeding, pre-pregnant and post-partum ladies, those near or in menopause or anyone else who could use a nutritional kick. Founder Aimee Rickabus started the company by whipping up her nourishing formulas in her kitchen.
Lita Sea Glass Jewelry had a spread of one-of-a-kind pieces made with natural sea glass that has been smoothed and tumbled by sand and time. Truly gorgeous, and just as Mother Nature made them.
Nue, a line of dresses from designer Shani, help slim and shape ladies so they look their best at all kinds of events. And, it’s never too early to look great with the fabulicious Born 4 Couture kids line. Shany cosmetics’ highly pigmented make-up is great for dramatic looks with vibrant colors, all at very affordable prices.
The stars showed just as bright. We saw Jonathan Lipnicki. Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi from Shahs of Sunset stopped to chat; she said she’d wants to come on StarCam Radio soon to set the record straight about the GG/Asa fight. According to GG, she did not hit Asa first! GG’s sister Leila was at the event, as well; she just had a baby, and she looked fabulous! Ashley Fink and Lauren Potter from Glee stopped by; hopefully we’ll have Lauren on a future show, as well.
To Write Love on Her Arms is an Orlando-based non-profit movement that started with an effort to get a friend the addiction treatment and care that she needed. When she was turned away from a drug treatment center, friends came together to print t-shirts and raise funds to get her help. Realizing that issues of depression, addiction, self-harm and suicide are wide-spread, the founders of To Write Love on Her Arms set out to give hope and get care for those who need it. The organization raises funds for mental health care, increases awareness, and provides treatment scholarships to those in need.

Some say hip hop has been humdrum since the 90s but James Lewis hopes to hype it back up. "The world has forgotten that it's an art," the aspiring rapper says, so he's determined "to make a change in what people think about hip hop music."
Listening to his EP Who Am I, you'd never know James suffers from a speech impediment. He's becoming known as "The Stuttering Rapper," and while he was once too embarrassed to talk about it, he now wants to "give other people with the same condition some hope and motivation."
Another thing that makes James stand out from other rising rappers is his average name. Without a crazy alias or ridiculous spelling, his crusade for credibility is taken more seriously. He thinks he stands out because of his honesty.
"I can personally say, that I give you all of me! There’s things in my [lyrics] I have never told anyone, and that is where I think a lot of "hip-hop" artist lack... honesty!" James exclaims.
While he's not signed to a record label right now, he is a member of Bath Dub Sounds, an independent group of artists and producers from around the world who specialize in different types of music including dub step and hip hop.
With deeply passionate lyrics and a smooth rapping style, James Lewis has big plans for the future and he's all about getting feedback from his fans. Check out his mini music video for "F.A.M.E. (Finally At My Escape)" below and download his Who Am I EP for free!
