Blake Shelton, Cee Lo, Smashing Pumpkins on "Footloose" Soundtrack

Whether you like it or not, classic movie remakes are all the rage right now. Fans of the originals often wonder how much the music will change to appeal to modern audiences.
Atlantic Records and Warner Music Nashville have recently revealed the soundtrack for Footloose, which includes eight original songs and four remakes. (See the complete track listing below!)
Blake Shelton puts his country swagger on the title song, which was originally made famous by Kenny Loggins, while Hunter Hayes joins Victoria Justice for the love song, “Almost Paradise.” Artists you may not have expected to contribute to the soundtrack include Cee Lo Green, Smashing Pumpkins, and David Banner.
Some thought the film’s lead actress Julianne Hough would be featured on the record, since her 2008 self-titled debut album reached No. 1 on the U.S. Country charts. However, the Dancing with the Stars pro was not included.
Here’s the complete listing for the soundtrack which will be released September 27th. Footloose hits theaters October 14th. Watch the trailer below!
