Can't Go to Sundance? Check Out These Shorts That Will Premiere at the Festival

The Sundance Film Festival has been the place to get viewers for independent films since the festival began in 1978. But now, the internet gives aspiring auteurs an easy and inexpensive avenue to find viewers.

Sundance has kept up with the times. A dozen shorts that will premier at this year's festival have also been made simultaneously available on YouTube. Selections range from light-hearted fare like faux-PSA Catnip: Egress to Oblivion? to strange animations like The Event to dark comedy like the gory flick The Apocalypse.
