Country Singer Miranda Lambert Tweets Harsh Words About Chris Brown Following Grammy Awards

Country singer Miranda Lambert had some strong words about Chris Brown’s prominence at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. The young R&B star performed twice and took the win for the R&B Album category, which seemed like a lot for someone who pled guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards just three years ago.
Lambert took her agitation to the Twittersphere on Monday, posting "Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl ... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys."
“Gunpowder and Lead” is one of Lambert’s biggest hits. The song tells the story of a woman preparing to kill her abusive husband when he gets out of jail. Those are some powerful words coming from such a little lady! While her opinion may have been strong and publicly voiced, she wasn’t alone in her thoughts. Sure, time has passed, but Chris Brown has showed his rage over the past few years. Like when he flipped out on a talk show when they made a reference to the charges. He trashed his dressing room and stormed out shirtless. It’s not like he pulled his act together completely and groveled for the world’s forgiveness.
Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet posted, "Are Chris Brown's mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?"
Sherri Shepherd tweeted, “Looks like all is forgiven (with) Chris Brown. That’s all I’ll say.”
"Chris Brown ... (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?" asked singer Michelle Branch.

So far, Chris Brown hasn’t responded and neither have his reps. Do you think it’s fair that three years later people are still giving him such a hard time or do you think this kind of response is deserved? Many people clearly think that highlighting him as a performer sends the wrong message. Do you agree? Does promoting Chris Brown’s music promote domestic abuse and violence?
