Flavor Flav to Head Back to High School in New Reality Show?

Rapper turned reality TV star Flavor Flav is pitching a new project. The 51-year-old high school dropout hopes to star in a new reality show depicting his return to school and the challenges that come with earning a high school diploma later in life. Unlike Flav’s previous reality TV shows, the new program, tentatively titled Flavor Flav Goes Back to High School, is meant to be inspirational.
"I want this show to be able to influence people my age, that if you dropped out of high school when you were young it's never too late to go back to get your diploma" Flav said.
According to various media reports, the former member of Public Enemy approached officials in Clinton, Iowa about shooting the show at the town’s high school. Flav even offered to pay students after class to film the show and promised to encourage kids to stay in school. However, Radio Iowa reports that Clinton educators turned Flavor Flav down.
“He’s very articulate and very bright but at this time and in the future, we will not have Flavor Flav at our high school,” Clinton Schools Superintendent Deb Olson said. “It would cause substantial disruption for our education.”
Flavor Flav recently opened a new fried chicken restaurant in Clinton in case you're wondering why he selected the small town in Iowa.
Fans shouldn't write Flavor Flav’s show off just yet. The rapper is determined to see the project through.
"If not Clinton, it will have to be another school if they let me shoot it there," Flav said. "I'm just looking for a high school to shoot my show in."
