Four Frightening Flicks Coming Soon

Longing for a good horror movie? Here are four frightening flicks coming to a theater near you. What are you in the mood for - vampires, goblins, killer sharks, or mysterious moon monsters?
Fright Night
Directed by Craig Gillespie, Fright Night is a 3D remake of a 1985 horror film by the same name. Anton Yelchin stars as Charley Brewster, a high school senior who suspects his new neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vicious vampire. David Tennant, Toni Collette, and Imogen Poots also star in Fright Night which opens in theaters this Friday (August 19th).
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark
Another remake, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is the tale of a young girl (Bailee Madison) who is stumbles upon small, goblin-like creatures in her family’s home. Hitting theaters August 26th, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark also stars Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes.
Shark Night 3D
Discovery Channel’s Shark Week may be a thing of the past, but Shark Night 3D is sure to restoke fears about one of the sea’s most fearsome creatures. Scheduled for release on September 2, Shark Night follows seven college friends who encounter a pack of killer sharks at a Louisiana lake. Sara Paxton, Alyssa Diaz, Dustin Milligan, Katharine McPhee, and Joel David Moore star in the upcoming film.
Apollo 18
Also hitting theaters on September 2, Apollo 18 is a found-footage film centering around a fictional mission to the moon and the parasitic life forms that attack unsuspecting crew. Referred to as Blair Witch in space, Apollo 18 supposedly reveals the real reason the United States never sent another man to the moon.
I’m a sucker for found-footage films, so I’ll definitely check out Apollo 18. What about you?
