Glen Beck to Launch "Anti-Glee" TV Show

Although plenty of people don't like Glee, Glen Beck might dislike it the most, especially considering this news. The ultra-conservative talk show host announced that he will be launching his own version of the hit show, but his version won't include the things that, arguably, make Glee so popular.
Beck says he's appalled by the show, which deals with issues such as bullying, teen sexuality, and LGBT issues, but despite being appalled by its topics, he's also amazed by the cult-like following the show has.
"It's horrifying some of the things that they're teaching high schoolers, but it's brilliantly done. It's produced brilliantly. Its music, brilliant. Its acting, brilliant. Its cinematography, brilliant. All of it!" the radio host exclaimed.
And what better way to flatter a show you hate than to completely rip it off?
He's currently working on a counter to the show, one that will be "just as well-produced and enjoyable to watch, but that pumps out conservative values to the youth of America," he explained. It's hard to understand what he means—while Glee teaches acceptance of other people, will Beck's version teach how to best gay-bash someone? Which racial slur is the most offensive? It seems hyperbolic, but it's probably not far off from what he's cooking up.
Beck says that all of the characters on Glee are "somebody that your kids want to be like. Except everybody is sleeping with everybody else. There's no values. It's all self-gratification. It's a nightmare."
And the best part about this TV show?
"We are working with a rapper—I can't say who yet—but my audience and his audience will say, 'What?' We jokingly call this our Oedipus project because the left will be making out with me...and they'll have no idea."
Okay, seriously, can someone please explain the whole "Oedipus" thing to Beck? Because I don't think that "the left" sees Beck as its mother or its father. Furthermore, if Beck is so against "everyone sleeping with everyone," why on earth is he so jazzed about "the left" metaphorically "making out with him"?
