Gwyneth Paltrow has finally signed a record deal. Or has she?

The actress reportedly signed the deal to record her debut album with Atlantic Records. The contract is believed to be worth $900,000.

Other singers and musicians that are signed with Atlantic include Kid Rock, James Blunt, and Janelle Monae.

The album, according to the New York Post, is classified as some kind of “country pop” by people who have listened to demos of the tracks.

Paltrow most recently performed her Academy Award nominated song “Home” from the film Country Strong live at the Oscars. While on the red carpet she divulged that her dream duet would be with Jay-Z. She has also performed with Cee Lo Green at the Grammy Awards and guest starred on the popular television-musical Glee.

The actress-singer will made a return appearance as Holly Holliday on Glee just last night. She performed covers of Prince’s “Kiss,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” and Joan Jett’s “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah).”

Paltrows rep says that she is being courted by record labels while sources say has recently entered talks with Atlantic Records. So no official deal yet, but it is almost there!
