Harry Potter?s Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) to Launch Rap Career

Warner Bros. Pictures

Now that the eighth, and final, Harry Potter film has premiered in London, fans may be wondering what’s next for the film’s young stars. Additional movies? Broadway plays? A college degree? In the case of Tom Felton, the actor who plays Harry’s nemesis Draco Malfoy, it’s a rap career.

"I was thinking of doing some [British hip-hop group] N-Dubz-style stuff,” the 23-year-old actor told the British Sun." I am looking to get into the grime rap UK scene. I'm going to change my image -- backward caps, the lot.”

Felton, who has inked a deal with an independent label, cites British groups Dappy and N-Dubz (below) as his inspiration.

"It's still under wraps so I can't really talk about it,” Felton responded when pressed for details.

Rapping ambitions or not, Felton isn’t giving up his acting career anytime soon. The London-born actor has five films in production including The Apparition, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and From the Rough.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiered in London next week and hits U.S. theaters this Friday.

Here’s N-Dubz in “I Need You” in case you’re wondering what Felton is shooting for.
