Hilary Duff Dismissed from ?Bonnie and Clyde?

Hilary Duff, who was set to portray Bonnie Parker in the upcoming film, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, has reportedly been fired from filming, due to “scheduling conflicts” (aka she’s pregnant).

A source close to the movie says that the split was amicable, and “If we could wait, we would,” but that Duff isn’t available (read: won’t be not-pregnant) until next June. Shooting for the film is scheduled to begin this fall.

Producers are also shopping around for a new Clyde, also, due to – you guessed it – more scheduling conflicts. Kevin Zegers was supposed to play the famed bank robber but it appears he won’t, after all.

Interestingly, Duff was rumored to have been dropped from the film back in May, but refuted the claims then.

“I was just driving in my car, minding my own business, and I got a call that’s like ‘Oh my God, it’s all over the Internet that you’re fired,” Duff recalls. She then contacted the director, who told her, “You know you’re my Bonnie and of course I don’t even know where that came from and I’m so sorry.”

Duff said at the time, “So, if the movie ever gets made, I think I’m Bonnie. It’s been a long time coming. With these independent movies, sometimes they never get made or sometimes they take ten years to get made.”

At the time though, Duff’s name had been removed from the cast list of the film on imdb.com. Now, it looks like it’s been made official.
