Peter Jackson Posts Behind-the-Scenes Video for ?The Hobbit?

Peter Jackson’s much-delayed two-part adaptation of The Hobbit is finally filming, and the Lord of the Rings mastermind posted a video of the pre-production process and the films’ first days in front of the camera to prove it.

Over the past several years, production on the big-budget film duo was delayed due to disputes over distribution rights, financial troubles at MGM, the departure of the films’ initial director (Guillermo del Toro), a labor dispute in New Zealand, and Jackson’s decision to direct the film, but the process is finally underway.

Many of the Lord of the Rings cast members are returning to Jackson’s adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel. The scripts for the films are being kept so secret that Cate Blanchett, who’s Rings character Galadriel is in the film, says she hasn’t even seen them yet and doesn’t know when her part will start filming.

“I haven’t seen a script [for The Hobbit] yet, so I don’t know what I’ll be doing,” she said.
