Ryan Reynolds Wins CinemaCon?s ?Male Star of the Year? Award

Hunky actor Ryan Reynolds will receive CinemaCon’s Male Star of the Year Award.
“Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading men, who has entertained audiences with his charmingly comedic onscreen presence,” said Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon. “Starring in the title role of the upcoming action adventure Green Lantern, Ryan is sure to gain a whole new legion of fans, and we could not be more honored to present him with the ‘CinemaCon Male Star of the Year Award.’”
Reynolds will be honored at the inaugural “CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards” in Las Vegas on March 31st. Tyler Perry, Helen Mirren, Russell Brand, Jason Momoa, Julianne Hough, and other celebrities with upcoming movies will also be honored at the awards ceremony.
Reynolds next stars in the big screen debut of The Green Lantern, a superhero film hitting theaters on June 17. Blake Lively and Mark Strong also star in the movie about a ring wearing, crime fighting super hero. Reynolds, People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2010, is currently filming The Change-Up with Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman and Safe House with Denzel Washington.
The 34-year-old Canadian actor has also appeared in Van Wilder, Waiting…, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Proposal, and Buried.
