StarCam to Attend Santa Barbara International Film Festival

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) kicks off this Thursday, January 26, and StarCam will be there to cover all of the action!
Established in 1985, SBIFF showcases independent films from around the world. The eleven-day festival honors some of the biggest names in Hollywood, with past honorees including Leonardo DiCaprio, James Franco, Colin Firth, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, and many others. SBIFF’s talent for predicting Academy Award winners, and its proximity to Los Angeles, makes it one of the nation’s most influential film festivals.
The Santa Barbara festival is also known for its celebrity tribute awards and this year Academy Award nominee Christopher Plummer will receive the Modern Master Award, SBIFF’s highest honor. Director Martin Scorsese will receive the America Riviera Award while The Help’s Viola Davis has won Outstanding Performer of the Year. Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo will receive SBIFF’s Cinema Vanguard Award.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival runs from January 26 – February 5. Check back with StarCam to see event coverage, celebrity interviews, award news, and much more.
