"Taken 2," "The Possession" Among New DVD Releases

A French drama, an action thriller, and a supernatural horror flick are now available for your home viewing pleasure. Here are the new DVD releases for January 15, 2013.

Taken 2

The sequel to 2008’s Taken, Taken 2 is what happens when the relatives of those killed in the first film try to avenge their loved ones. Liam Neeson reprises his role as Bryan Mills, while Maggie Grace returns as his daughter. Famke Janssen and Rade Šerbed?ija also star in the film which earned $371 million at the box office.

To Rome with Love

Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love also arrives on DVD today. Starring Allen, Antonio Albanese, Roberto Benigni, and Penelope Cruz, To Rome with Love is the tale of four men in women in Italy’s City of Love. 

Actress Penelope Cruz chatted with StarCam last June about what she loves about Woody Allen.

"I love everything about Woody,” Cruz said. “He's been so kind to me. I love his mind, his sense of humor; he's one of the funniest people in the world. I can't believe he keeps giving me these jewels, these beautiful characters. It puts the confidence on me to play them. I'm very grateful to him."

Won’t Back Down

Maggie Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, and Holly Hunter star in this film about two mothers determined to save their children’s failing inner city school. Bill Nunn, Oscar Isaac, and Rosie Perez also star in the controversial movie some labeled anti-union propaganda.

Farewell, My Queen

A French drama, Farewell, My Queen is the tale of Marie Antoinette’s final days as seen through the eyes of a young servant. The film stars Diane Kruger, Léa Seydoux, and Virginie Ledoyen.

The Possession

A supernatural horror film, The Possession is the tale of a little girl possessed by a malevolent spirit. Natasha Calis, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Kyra Sedgwick also star in the flick allegedly based on a true story.
