Taylor Swift Disses Harry Styles at the Grammys

If there's one thing we should have all learned by now about Taylor Swift, it's that if you date her, there's almost a guarantee that you'll be the subject matter of one of her songs, and it likely won't be flattering for you. On Sunday's Grammy awards, Swift opened the ceremony with a circus-themed performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and in the bridge took a shot at her most recent ex-boyfriend, One Direction's Harry Styles.

In the song, the interlude originally goes, "...So he calls me up and he's like, 'I still love you,' and I'm like...I'm just...I mean this is exhausting, you know? Like we are never getting back together...like ever." In her Grammys performance, however, she said, "So he calls me up and says 'I still love you," but I said, 'I'm sorry, I'm busy opening up the Grammys." When she referred to the guy saying "I still love you," she put on a goofy British accent, too, leading many people to think the jab was aimed directly at Styles.

Swift and Styles broke up recently, but this just smacks of desperation. First of all, it's a pretty big honor in the music industry to be asked to perform at the Grammys—to open them, even. For Swift to use it as a stage to take a dig at an ex is pathetic.

Furthermore, if a guy did something like this, people everywhere would be ragging on him six ways to Sunday for being so harsh to an ex. The fact that Taylor does things like this puts a spotlight on her immaturtiy, and that she gets away with it reinforces the double standard that men and women face.
