The White Stripes Former Frontman Jack White to Release Solo Album This Year

Jack White from The White Stripes has put together several different side projects since the band's split, but we've never had the chance to hear something uniquely his. That will all be changing this year. Blunderbuss is White’s first solo album and it will be hitting music stores on April 24.

The White Stripes went their separate ways about a year ago, but that doesn’t mean we’ll have to lose out on the rock ‘n’ roll hits! These songs are even more unique in that they are the independent creation of the former band’s frontman.

Blunderbuss is an album I couldn’t have released until now,” says White. “I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”

If you’re anxious to hear what these purely Jack White tracks sound like, you’re in luck. You can check out his single, “Love Interruption,” and even pre-order it online! The song is expected to be available on iTunes later on this evening.
