Twilight Studio Sues Over Stolen ?Breaking Dawn? Images

In March, a series of stolen images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hit the web and needless to say, the folks at Summit Entertainment were not happy. After a lengthy investigation, the studio yesterday announced that it has identified some of the people responsible for the leak and that it plans to take legal action.

"Those who steal images, video, and other intellectual property will be identified and prosecuted globally,” Summit Entertainment wrote in a press release.

Summit Entertainment's investigation spanned four continents and the law firm of Keats McFarland & Wilson LLP is still working on finding the other people responsible for the leak. So far the firm has identified Daiana Santia and others in Argentina as being involved in stealing “photographs, unfinished images, and video.”

Twilight director Bill Condon called the leak a “deeply upsetting," experience while the producers were “extremely heartbroken." Actor Robert Pattinson also expressed strong emotion about the stolen images.

"It's just ridiculous. I literally can't believe that it happened," Pattinson told MTV News. "I want the Twilight troops to mobilize, all the good fans, and find out who these little sh--s are and just hack into their computers and destroy them. ... I'm being genuinely serious, Twilight fans."

The images in question showed Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) honeymoon scene as well as pictures of Bella as she transforms into a vampire.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 hits theatres November 18, while Part 2 is set for a November 16, 2012 release.
