Vince Vaughn, CBS Working on ?Brady Bunch? Reboot

Think a Brady Bunch reboot sounds groovy? CBS and Vince Vaughn apparently do as the network and comedic actor are working on bringing the iconic series back to television. Deadline reports that CBS has ordered a script for a Brady reboot and that Vaughn will help develop the series as well as serve as executive producer.
So what can viewers expect? This version of the Bunch will reportedly follow divorced father Bobby Brady who remarries a woman with children of her own. The couple also has a child between them, and blended family hijinxs are sure to follow. Mike Mariano (Raising Hope, My Name is Earl) will pen the script which “reflects the evolution of family dynamics over the past four decades.”
Vaughn and Mariano will work with Lloyd Schwartz, son of original Brady Bunch creator Sherwood Schwartz, as well as Victoria Vaughn and Peter Billingsley. The project will be produced through Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Prods.
For those that need a refresher, the original Brady Bunch ran on ABC from 1969 – 1974 and featured a lovely lady with three lovely girls who married a busy man with three boys of his own. This group somehow formed a family and that’s the way they all became the Brandy bunch. The show starred Robert Reed and Florence Henderson as the happy couple and Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Maureen McCormick, Eve Plumb, and Susan Olsen as the children.
Do we really need another Brady Bunch? Sound off in the comments below.
